Hello there, my name is Joshua and welcome to my profile! I am a dedicated 21-year-old medical student currently in my 3rd year of university. My previous experience of a tutoring role was as a reading tutor at the Manchester Academy High School. This included helping children of different ages, who had English as a second language, with their reading and comprehension. The reason why I loved this teaching experience was because it helped me empathize with the circumstances that different people are in, and it improved my communication and social skills. I also have experience as a remote healthcare customer assistant who advised people that had been in contact with a Covid-19 patient to self-isolate for 14 days, so communicating online is nothing new to me! As for my teaching style I’d like to create a relaxed friendly environment that promotes hard work, gives constructive and supportive feedback, and encourages students to talk about things outside of the work. I’d like to try all kinds of different lessons to find what method is best suited, as I believe every student will be different. As for my hobbies I play competitive football and I’m involved in athletics. In addition, I play basketball and squash with friends at my university. I love listening to all types of music genres in my spare time and I have experience playing the drums for several years. I am hoping to start playing the piano and have a go at producing music soon. Thank you for reading, I look forward to meeting you! As for my academic background, I attended Bolton school at primary school level and the Manchester Grammar School for Boys for both secondary school and sixth form. Starting off with my excellent GCSE and A level grades obtained at the Manchester Grammar school for boys; For A levels I achieved grades: A in Chemistry, A* in Biology and D3 (Equivalent to a grade A) in History. As for my GCSEs I achieved grades: 8/A* in Chemistry, 8/A* in Physics, 8/A* in Biology, 8/A* in Mathematics, 8/A* in History, 8/A* in Electronics, 7/A in Geography, 7/A in Spanish, A in English Language and A in English Literature. These grades show that I have both the knowledge and experience to help students not only reach their learning goals but exceed them. Also, as someone who has experience of sitting the 11+ entrance exams and passing to get into a grammar school, I believe it will be easier for me to relate to students studying to do the same, as well as knowing what is required to pass. As for my future ambitions I am currently studying medicine at the Medical University of Sofia in Bulgaria. As someone who is studying medicine, skills such as communication, attention to detail and patience that I would gain from this experience would be valuable as a future doctor. Not only do I want to improve on the skills I already have but also learn new skills and gain experiences that would be useful in the future. I’m also attempting to pass the USMLE exams so I will be qualified to work as a doctor in the USA!

I studied in Singapore for secondary and high school, so I am familiar with the British O level and A level syllabi, which are used in Singapore with minor variations. Currently I am studying social sciences in second year at Sciences Po Paris campus of Le Havre and the program is in English. I have been teachign English language and grammar, Mathematics, History, and Biology to students up to secondary level both online and offline for the past 2 years. I am a passionate and patient teacher dedicated to making learning enjoyable and rewarding to my students. In my spare time, I write and produce for a podcast and a campus newspaper in English, and I'm in the orchestra of Le Havre as a violinist. My first language is Mandarin. Research Experience: I had research attanchment at Nanyang Technological University before coming to France for my University, under the Biochemistry department. I also interned at the Singapore Environmental Agency under the Wolbachia project for dengue control. This experience gave me a 3-month laboratory working experience with leading biologists and bio-engineers in the field of infectious disease control, which made me interested in the public health sector and related social policies.

I've been a deputy head for ten years in London and now I am working to support students directly to be successful in particularly in maths GCSE, A Level Law and 11+ entrance. I know that students have different needs and that it is essential to adapt lessons to fit students' different skills. It's exactly why tutoring can unlock potential and give confidence, and I really enjoy doing it! I am at the moment really booked up with tutees, so have availability only between 06.00 and 07.30. First Class degree from Durham University PGCE (Qualified Teacher Status) from University of Oxford Current law student and scholarship holder at BPP I'm stoked about learning. So much so, I've put myself through my paces throughout my career to teach new and different subjects. I've taught A Level music, A Level English and GCSE Business Studies - all when we were short of teachers to teach them. I hope I can share my passion for acquiring new knowledge with more students.

My name is Laura. I am a final year medical student at Trinity College Dublin. I am living in Dublin, Ireland. I've been providing tutoring in Maths for the last 5 years. I achieved grade A+ in my leaving Certificate Maths examination. I have taught students of all levels, from primary school to Leaving Certificate/A Level standard. My approach to lessons is tailored to each individual student. First I identify the areas in which the student may be struggling with or in which the student would benefit from tutoring in. My tutoring sessions are student centered and I move at a pace that suits each student. I encourage the student to attempt sample questions during the session in order for me to assess their understanding. I adapt my teaching plan to the goals of the student and suggest questions for the student to complete in-between sessions. I have recently worked to develop a student e-learning platform (www.studentgrinds.ie). I have also created youtube videos on my account 'Laura Kehoe' (youtube user ID:HmzZLwmKOZwL3SV-aONyig ) showcasing the solutions to maths exam questions for students. I am happy to answer any questions you may have in relation to tutoring sessions. Outside of my studies, I enjoy horse-riding and running.

I studied Maths, Physics and PE at A-level then I went to University to study maths with Finance. I played rugby from age 6-18, I still enjoy watching it and occasionally refereeing. In my spare time I enjoy reading, running, going to the gym and training Muay Thai. I graduated in Maths with Finance this summer at Newcastle University. My current job involves going round schools and colleges in the UK and delivering presentations on Newcastle University or science in general. I really enjoy it and it’s made me consider teaching as a long term career. This summer I plan on going back to New York and working as a lifeguard on a summer camp like I did last summer. Following this I plan on moving to Sydney Australia to work in a graduate position. I did my GCSE’s at Kettlethorpe High School. I went to New College Pontefract and did three A-levels in Maths, PE and Physics. I got A*AB. I then did an undergraduate degree at Newcastle University in Maths with Finance. I mainly chose applied modules at university which involved more calculus.

We were delighted with the quality of tutoring that we received from Sivapriya. My son had regular computer science tutorials with her and always looked forward to his sessions. Her lessons were fun and he always finished feeling excited about what he had learned. He also enjoyed the games they would play to help get in the right mindset for the lesson and to understand the concepts. Her explanations and real life examples were clear and she was always very helpful when our son needed more clarification on a subject. The homework was challenging and fun and the feedback was always helpful. Sivapriya was always quick to respond to any queries that we had. We would definitely recommend her to other families looking for a good tutor.

The teacher is experienced in the exams (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2), so she gives important hints to the students to make it easier for them, if they face a problem, while giving the exam.

What are A-levels?
A-level stands for ‘advanced level’, which gives you a good indication of how difficult they can be. Students usually work towards achieving their A-levels over two years, taking three or four courses in the first year of Sixth Form and three in the second year.
Are A-levels difficult?
The shift from GCSE to A-levels is huge, and many students get caught out as they’re expecting a gentle jump.
A-levels require an increased level of independence. Some kids thrive on this newfound taste of adulthood whereas others take more time to adjust.
What is an A-level exam?
A-level exams take place at the end of each year, with the second-year exam testing content from both years.
Non-exam assessments only make up 20% or less of the final grade. That’s why nailing the exams is crucial.
Who can take A-level exams?
Requirements vary between different schools and colleges, but generally speaking your child will need:
When will your child need help with their A-levels?
Many children benefit from tuition right from the start, as the jump from GCSEs is more like a vertical rock climb than a jog up a hill.
If your child struggles with planning their study time, their tutor can guide them on the best study practices and help create a learning schedule.
Why A-level private tutoring works
When should my child start revising for their A-levels?
How much time is needed will depend upon how much effort your child put in during the year and how hard they found the content. Ideally, leave at least a few months for revision and longer if they are taking more than three A-levels.
How do you revise for A-levels?
Just reading over notes and books isn’t enough to solidify information in the brain. Your child will need a study timetable so they can ensure they have time to revise everything in detail.
Our dedicated A-level online tutors will provide homework and exam papers to practise on and will keep you up-to-date on your child’s progress.
Book your free trial lesson today and breathe a sigh of relief. At GoStudent, we make sure that every one of our professional and experienced A-level tutors has been there, aced that, so your child is in safe hands.
How affordable is private A Levels tuition?
The cost of private A Levels tuition can be as low as £21.99. The price of each individual lesson is dependent on how long your child would like tuition support and how many lessons they take per week. The more they learn, the lower the price of each lesson! Why not book a free trial session for you and your child to see how we can help?
How many other levels does GoStudent offer other than A Levels tuition?
As well as private A Levels tuition, GoStudent can help your child with 11 other levels. Pick from many subjects including Italian, English, Physics. And with GoStudent your child isn't tied into one level.
