Having achieved an A* at A level and a 1st Class degree in Modern History with Economics at A level, I have experience teaching a wide range of history GCSE and A Level topics. The topics I have the most experience is in: Nazi Germany, The Cold War, Medicine through time, Anglo Saxon and Norman England, 20th Century Russia (1894-1924) and Britain during the 17th century (1625-1701); given the wide scope of history modules I study at University, I have a broader understanding of history - especially modern history. Hello. My name is Darren Beech and I have been a Science Teacher for 26 years. I have taught all three science specialisms at key stage 3 (Biology, Chemistry and Physics), Biology and Chemistry at GCSE and A level Biology. I have taught all ability ranges over these years and have had exemplary success with the students in my classes. Having left main school teacher in the summer of 2025 to care for a disabled parent, I have moved into tutoring to continue passing on my passion for science and to help continue to get students to progress through their qualifications.
