About me: Hi! I’m Irene. I have been involved in teaching for 2 years, having previously worked with students age 4-16 as a teaching assistant in the UK and in Spain. My experience has allowed me to develop my confidence in teaching students from KS1 all the way up to A-level. In addition, in my second and final year at University I tutored 1st year Biology students who were struggling with the jump from A-level to undergrad, helping them develop their statistical, critical analysis and exam writing skills. Levels & subjects - Lower level: Biology - GCSE: Biology -A-LEVEL (IB): Biology - Higher level: Biology Exam board experience: - AQA, Edexcel A&B, OCR A&B, WJEC Languages: Spanish- I am bilingual and worked in a Spanish school in Madrid for 1 year. SEND: I have experience working as a SEN TA. I worked with students who had DLD, dyslexia, Autism, anxiety and down syndrome Preferred student group: I am happy to teach from primary up to A-LEVEL. While at school, I was always the kid in class who asked SO many questions because I often found science and maths lessons to be a huge information overload! Thanks to the patience of my teachers and a dedicated tutor I excelled in my science and maths GCSEs and A-Levels which ultimately gave me the confidence to go on and study Biology at the University of Leeds. I strive to give my students the same patience and dedication I received in school to them!

Hi! I’m Kai, a fairly easy-going guy from London and I have been tutoring for just over 5 years and love every minute of it! I am here to help you ace your exams and provide that 'lightbulb' moment! Whichever way you learn best I will tailor my lessons to you. I tend to use many different resources depending on what suits your learning style, for example I usually incorporate diagrams and flowcharts to visualise some of the tricker concepts. I know when I was a student, having a tutor was a huge benefit to me as I was able to understand concepts from a different point of view. Away from tutoring, I am also a huge fan of football (Real Madrid of course!) and Athletics, mostly 100m and 200m sprinting and I previously represented both my County and Athletics Club several times at regional level. Wherever possible, I love to include real-life examples especially in Science so the lessons can be engaging and you can achieve your potential. Hope to see you soon! I am currently a fourth year medical student at the University of Nottingham and hold a First Class Bachelor of Medical Sciences degree. I have been tutoring since my early high school years in a range of subjects and for a range of different academic abilities. My education ethos is to foster an enjoyment of understanding and success will follow. In terms of hobbies I'm a massive movie fan – that's basically how I spend 90% of my free time. I also really enjoy taking photos when I can and it doesn't take much for me to get stuck into a good book. I am in my penultimate year of Medical School at the University of Nottingham and hold a First Class Bachelor of Medical Sciences degree. In high school I took physics, chemistry, mathematics, history, biology, English and AP mathematics. I tutored peers and younger grades throughout high school in all these subjects. I achieved distinctions in all core subjects. I also have a B1 Certification in German, which I studied at the Goëthe Institut.

Secondary Level: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Combined Sciences Exam Boards: AQA & OCR A/B for all sciences Preferred Age Groups: Year 7 - 11 (Secondary school) Hi, I'm currently studying Biology at University, and would be thrilled to share my skills and knowledge by tutoring. From the get go science hooked me, be it the vast expanses of the cosmos, the planet we call home, the bodies we live in every second of our lives, or all the way down to the subatomic particles that build the fundamentals of life. It has always intrigued my mind and I would love to share that enthusiasm with aspiring students, so to do so I keep my sessions entangled with the hobbies and interests of my students which helps them engage with sessions more. Due to my strive for challenge I take up many hobbies, gaming being the most prevalent, it is a great outlet for creativity and has always helped me be quick to solutions, as well as push my competitive side out to the surface, games like God of War, Destiny and Neverwinter have allowed me to build the importance of depth in any aspect of life, as well as educate myself on the settings within said games. I'm also an avid reader gravitated towards the fantasy genre, personally I am a fan of Lord of The Rings, as well as all the other stories that J.R.R.Tolkien had written for the world of Arda, A Song of Ice & Fire is also another favourite of mine delving into a deep and dark setting, with a more pronounced adult tone, building a vast expansive world full of mystery, eldritch horror and slight bits of magic scattered around, while still emphasising the realistic nature of humans. Anime is one of my first passions an introduction to the Japanese language in the form of animation, flashy visuals and cultural phenomena that paved a path for the youth of my generation the art and creativity put into those shows has really instilled the same characteristics in me. HNC in Biological & Chemical Sciences.
