I'm Fintan, I'm a 2nd year student at Cardiff University studying Financial Mathematics (BSc) - Primarily a further development into the field of Maths, with some time spent learning about Corporate management and Investment Management. As a Chemical Engineering student, my academic journey is rooted in the fundamentals of sciences and mathematics. I developed a great foundation in sciences by studying double science, mathematics and other subjects for GCSEs and biology, chemistry and mathematics for A-levels. This lead to paving the path for my pursuit in higher education. During my A-levels, I loved sciences more and I always found it intriguing. I delved into biological intricacies and developed a deep understanding of molecular biology, human biology and ecology. I still utilize these lesson in my chosen course by understanding the interactions between biology and biochemical processes and bio-processes in chemical engineering. There are also other concepts I still learn and advance my knowledge in, such as chemical reactions and thermodynamics among others. This means I am equipped with essential chemical principles. I utilize mathematical concepts to solve problems in my chosen field. I am a huge fan of BTS because of the poetic lyricism thats conveys messages of strength, self esteem and self love and passion for the things you love irregardless of what society has to say.
