Hello! I'm a tutor for GCSE Maths, Physics and Chemistry. Curiosity is so important to me - seizing opportunities wherever possible and always willing to try out a diverse and novel range of experiences. I also apply this mindset to the world of academia. I'm a strong believer that learning across disciplines teaches you one of the most important skills: understanding how someone else thinks. If you've had to deconstruct complicated concepts in a variety of subjects you quickly become adept at understanding where a person is getting stuck. I meet you where you're at. No skipping forward. We identify the gaps. Fill those gaps properly. And build from there. There are very few students who lack ability, they've just not had something explained to them in the right way yet. Another big part of my job is building confidence. Learning how to trust your own judgement and rationale. How to ask the right questions. How to stop panicking and second-guessing yourself during exams. You already have the knowledge, you just have to realise it! I studied Maths, Further Maths, Chemistry and Physics at A Level and AS Level - so the subjects I tutor are ones I've lived and breathed through exams myself, not too long ago. I know the syllabuses well. At GCSE, I achieved 13 A*s across a broad range of subjects including Maths, Further Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English Language, English Literature and Geography, among others. I was also awarded a prize for Citizenship and Academics as Best in Year. Outside of the classroom, I've always looked for ways to stretch myself - whether that was competitive debating, mentoring other students, or delivering weekly talks to school students and hospital staff linking science and medicine with real-world issues. I also earned Gold (Best in Year) in a UK Mathematics Trust-style competition. More recently, I've applied that academic foundation to some pretty varied things - from building mathematical models to address housing challenges, to achieving a top ~0.02% award in an international essay competition.

Hello ! I'm Sadie, 19 and currently completing an undergraduate degree in International Disaster Management and Humanitarian Response in Manchester. I am passionate about learning and enjoy helping others build confidence in their academic abilities. I completed my secondary education in 2025, where I focused on Geography, Religious Studies and Chemistry, and have continued to develop my knowledge and passion for geography through my university course. I have experience supporting younger students with exam preparation, having taken part in a peer coaching scheme for 2 years whilst at school. I'm currently a veterinary medicine student at university, slated to graduate in 2030. I have two younger brothers and have always been one of those strange children who enjoyed going to school for the learning, not just the fun. Outside of education I am a knitter, a crocheter, a badminton player, and an avid creative writer. I was involved in Scouts for two years and was part of the National Honour Society in high school, a society for students in American high schools that select members based on four pillars: academics, character, service, and leadership. I enjoy explaining things and hope to ensure that my students gain a greater appreciation of the subject matter, but I will settle for getting them through their exams if that's all they want. I attended CAJ, an international high school in Japan that following the American curriculum. I took 10 AP subjects, which are slightly narrower in scope but no less thorough in depth than A levels, and scored 5s (highest score) in all but English language, where I scored a 3 (pass mark). The AP subjects I took were Japanese, Calculus AB, Calculus BC, Statistics, Physics 1, Physics 2, Chemistry, Biology, English Language and Comprehension, and English Literature and Composition.
