New tutor
Hi everyone! My name is Connor, I am a PhD candidate in Cardiovascular Disease, Licentiate of the Institute of Biomedical Science (IBMS) and the student representative for the Faculty of Pharmacology, Physiology & Neuroscience (PPN) at the University of Bristol. In my spare time, I am often walking my two dogs and cat (yes, you did read that correctly), tending to our small, modest garden or brushing up on my paintwork. My tutoring methods are highly individualistic and learner-centred: it is all about you and your aspirations, as it rightfully should be. By incorporating a holistic approach, we will work together on building your confidence, learning how to effectively manage stress and how to tackle difficult exams questions, regardless of the topic. As a previously undiagnosed and unsupported learner with ADHD, growing up in an isolated community and later, becoming a full-time carer, I frequently heard that "further study isn’t for people like me". After achieving First-grade classifications in my BSc in Biomedical Science, MSc in Pharmacology & Drug Development and the IBMS President's Prize for outstanding achievements, I beg to differ. I am now confident that no tutee should ever feel as if further study "isn't for people like them". I can personally testify that learning does not have to be a painful, slow and frustrating experience it is frequently portrayed as. Let me help you achieve your goals, “re-learn how to learn” and discover your scientific passion through reliable, engaging and tailored tuition.

I am excited to teach you biology. The subject of biology is very interesting and arguably the most influential subject you will study. My teaching styles include explaining topics as well as demonstrating concepts through visuals (images). When I write on my iPad, I share the screen with the students so they can see what I am writing and get a better understanding of the concepts. One of my hobbies is traveling and learning about other cultures. As well as traveling to twelve countries, I lived and studied in Pakistan, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Malaysia, Poland and Italy. Also, I love extreme sports like Bungee jumping and cliff diving. I also enjoy aerial photography as well. Passionate about chemistry and helping students achieve their potential and beyond. I am a young teacher, with a vast knowledge of chemistry at the KS3, KS4, and KS5 level. This is evidenced by my A grade at both GCSE, and A level. I place a large emphasis on breaking critical concepts down, ensuring students have a sound understanding of foundational aspects of chemistry- which will then allow them to tackle more difficult subject topics. All of my teaching is relevant to the exam board in question, and there is also a large focus on exam technique to ensure you're hitting those top marks! In terms of my hobbies, I love going to the gym, playing sports such as badminton and kickboxing, reading, and playing Call of Duty. I am actually also learning to fly at the moment, taking weekly lessons. Please do feel free to reach out with any questions you may have, and let's smash chemistry together! Hi there! My name is Sahil, a first-year undergraduate student at the University of Warwick studying Economics. I have been tutoring students online in Maths, Physics and Economics from all over the world for over 2 years in interactive and engaging 1:1 lessons. My teaching style focuses on learning content first before applying it to questions. Therefore, lessons will consist of content learning which includes detailed notes on the topic and in-depth walkthroughs of every single question type relating to that topic. This would be followed by practise questions on that topic first with assistance in the lesson and then homework to be completed without assistance to test if the teaching has been successful. I particularly specialise in exam preparation and give my students regular tests to ensure content learned is tested throughout, this way there is less stress on crammed revision which has been proven to boost exam performance. I have tutored Maths from KS3 all the way up to GCSE and A-Level and I also specialise in Further Maths tuition. I have also tutored in Economics at A-Level. Through my experience over the last 2 years, I am up to date with most exam board content and curriculum changes so my lessons are completely relevant to current mark schemes. In an exam environment where it is even harder to get the top grades due to the consequences of grade inflation over the past few years, I would love the opportunity to really help and push your child to achieve their full potential in their studies.
