Hi I’m Mahnoor! I am a qualified English teacher with years of experience both in tutoring and school teaching. I am 24 years old. I am from Dingle, the heart of the Ghaeltacht of Corca Dhuibhne. I learned my Irish growing up here. I am a fluent Irish speaker and from the age of 3, I was emmersed in the Irish language, and under took all my schooling through Irish. (Yes, Maths, Biology, everything! I still do Maths in my head in Irish as a result of this!) I tutor Irish with a big focus on examination results, and, having sat the Irish Leaving Cert and Junior Cert exams myself, have a deep understanding of them and how they are graded. In this way, I focus on building the confidence of the student by training them to answer the questions to attain maximum marks. I am also a very systematic person, and love to share my planning and strategic processes of breaking down questions and exams in order to simply them, so that the student can achieve the grade that they are capable of attaining. I, myself was terrible at maths at school, and trained myself through systems, recall and discipline to attain a H3 in higher level maths in the Leaving Cert. I really do believe that any student is capable of doing the same in the Irish exam if they have the right approach. I take this systematic approach to everything that I do, whether that be in my professional job with the IDA as a client advisor, or in sport, with running, football or basketball. My discipline in this approach has served me so well in my life to date, and I would love to share this with you through my tutoring. Elsewhere, I am well travelled, having spent a year living in New York City, working in sales, and another year studying in France. Thanks to this experience, I also speak French.
