Hello! :) My name is Cécile, I am twenty six years of age and I possess a Bachelors Degree in Drama. I work full-time throughout the week; therefore, I enjoy assisting students with their studies, in the evenings. :) I started tutoring during my A-Levels (2016-2018), which then progressed to University and amazingly, up until present. A section of my degree concentrated on education (to which, I received a First) which inevitably led me, to continue with private tuition. I have been established on the GoStudent platform, since January 2022. In January 2024, I received my 500th lesson certificate. Up until today, I have delivered over 1,000 lessons on this platform, alone. Collectively, I have over nine years of tutoring experience but on a continuous basis, I will be hitting my five year anniversary, in January 2027. I teach the following subjects: Drama, English, History and French. Drama and English are both taught, up until Degree level. History is taught at both, GCSE & A-Level standard. French is taught either from Primary to GCSE standard or I do also teach the language to individuals, who are learning French, from scratch (I do also possess dual nationality). I also conduct lessons providing coursework and exam help. My education journey is, as follows: In 2016, I passed and achieved thirteen GCSE's, nine of which vary from B - A* grades. In 2018, I passed and achieved three A-Levels in Drama, History and Biology. In 2021, I graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Drama which includes a First Class for my 'Education and the Performing Arts' module alongside my Dissertation. In 2024, I started my Cert CII and I am aiming to have my full Chartership in Insurance, by July 2026.

Hello to you all. I have been teaching English and History to many different people at all levels for many years. I am hugely passionate about making sure the teaching and studying is fun. English is one of the most important subjects there is. I have a passion for helping people improve and get better at both reading and writing. History is one of the basics for so many subjects. While my experiences both as a student and as a teacher have developed my communication skills by using the proper tone and terminology, I value the most having learned from the doubts and questions from my past students as well as having done many final past paper questions. Despite every student being different, experience helps tremendously. Some students are very advanced and prefer working on past paper questions by tackling some specific aspects of the exam board, while some others require a bit more work on some modules and require a session more akin to covering a variety of concepts. When teaching new concepts, I use self-made PowerPoint slides specifically designed to incorporate the knowledge required to succeed in the exam questions for that exam board. In these slides, I use a scaffolding teaching technique which is about covering fundamental learning outcomes prior moving towards the more advanced concepts. I also incorporate past paper questions in every lesson to ensure the student is engaging in proactive learning, and not simply passively listening to me talk for 50 minutes. Overall, my goal is to engage the student in his or her own learning by teaching them skills and by giving them greater focus in some areas of each module. A lot of concepts are covered in these exam boards but knowing where to place great emphasis surely fosters their learning. This is where experience teaching these exams really comes into play, and it will also help me quickly devise the best study plan for the student. To complement my online teaching sessions, I have a digital pad that enables me to quickly write notes, draw or paste diagrams to ensure the lesson is smooth and dynamic. Online teaching may seem, at first glance, limited in terms of being able to write notes, however, currently online learning has been greatly updated thanks to such devices. I am currently only teaching biology and chemistry from GCSE and A-level exams but not higher levels (i.e. not teaching university programs). Like many teachers, my personal preference are students that are keen on learning regardless of their starting point. However, I have taught students that needed motivation coming from me and I was able to help them significantly.
