Hello! My name is Samantha. In April 2026, I graduated with a PhD in History and Politics from the University of Cambridge. My dissertation focused on nineteenth-century Italian political thought, and I successfully defended it with no corrections recommended. I have been a tutor since 2020 and a university supervisor and seminar instructor (for History and Politics) since 2023. I also have direct experience in university admissions, having conducted Politics interviews and managed selection processes at the University of Cambridge. As a tutor, I find it very rewarding to use my expertise and enthusiasm to help students do well in their courses, become excited about what they are learning, and grow in confidence. I can help students (including those with SEND) with content, exam technique, and essay writing, and I have many resources available to ensure that I can provide specific guidance on all exam boards, exam questions, and topics. I also favour an active learning approach: while I can provide material (such as individualised PowerPoints or revision sheets) and go through the content to aid understanding, I always encourage my students to answer questions throughout the session and practise real exam questions at home. I believe this approach promotes independent thinking and exam preparation while also providing an environment where they can improve. I absolutely love mathematics and teaching/helping people but, ultimately, my passion is dance. On top of my maths degree, I am training to be a professional commercial dancer. Hello ! I'm Sadie, 19 and currently completing an undergraduate degree in International Disaster Management and Humanitarian Response in Manchester. I am passionate about learning and enjoy helping others build confidence in their academic abilities. I completed my secondary education in 2025, where I focused on Geography, Religious Studies and Chemistry, and have continued to develop my knowledge and passion for geography through my university course. Hi!! My name is Eimear, I’m a 20 year old girl currently in my final year studying a BA in Philosophy, politics and economics at the University of Leeds. I’ve always been a curious individual, who enjoys studying and sharing knowledge with others. During my time at sixth form, I helped a maths GCSE class in preparation for their exams. I really enjoyed this experience and it has urged me to continue to continue with tutoring. I would love to help more people to excel in education and be really proud of their achievements - no matter how big or small! I went to St Nicholas Catholic High School where I got 10 GCSEs grade 9-7 and I stayed on at Sixth Form where I achieved A*,A,A in English Literature, Maths and Religious Studies ALevels. Alongside my ALevels, I also completed an Extended Project Qualification that was awarded an A* as well. I now study a BA in PPE at University of Leeds, where I am aiming to achieve a first class. When I was in sixth form, I helped a GCSE maths class in preparation for their exams, where I conducted 1-1 sessions with various students to go over past papers and establish areas of concern. Beyond that, my degree has allowed me to continue to develop both my numerical skills as well as my written skills, so I think I have a good basis for helping students with both English and Maths (my two favourite subjects).
