Hello! My name is Donna. I have lived and worked in different parts of England, Wales and Scotland at various times. I teach English and Humanities subjects remotely, and have done so for over 5 years; although I have worked within an educational environment for more than 15 years. Throughout this time it has been a real privilege to help students progress and reach their full potential. I personally love learning and reading, and get excited about exchanging new ideas and thoughts with my students. I have supported KS1 to KS4 students in Humanities subjects; such as Geography and History, as well as Science, and English. Along with this I have assisted and guided students while they prepare for their Functional Skills assessments and exams. Further, I also support ESL students with exam preparation. In the classroom, my goal has always been to inspire students so that they can gain confidence in their subjects. My classes are always fun and engaging. Students learn at different paces and in different ways so often need time to understand what they are learning. Therefore, I patiently use a variety of teaching materials to consolidate concepts, ideas and dates. These are then reinforced through in-class practice. Mini class quizzes identify areas for additional support, and exam preparation help students feel comfortable and better prepared when it comes to taking their all important exams and tests.

Hi, I'm Rafaela, a 19 year old university student who believes learning should be engaging and built on a genuine connection. I grew up in an international school abroad providing me with a diverse range of knowledge on different cultures as well as a broader perspective. At school I was head girl, providing me with leadership qualities as well as experience working with students from a wide range of year groups. When I’m not tutoring or studying, you'll probably find me at the gym with my friends, playing netball, reading a new book or baking something sweet.
