Methodology for analysing student success with GoStudent
The ‘Student Progress Survey’ was conducted between 23 February and 22 March 2023, gathering responses from over 17,000 GoStudent students Europe-wide, to yield representative results in each market.
To ensure accuracy, results excluded respondents who had only attended a trial lesson or did not hold a subscription.
Participants were asked to rate their progress, and their responses were grouped into two categories: “Success” (covering significant, some, or a little improvement) and “No Improvement.”
The analysis examined whether factors such as lesson frequency, length of time as a student tutoring with GoStudent, number and type of subjects studied, and student age were linked to perceived progress.
Statistical tests were applied both globally and by individual market to identify meaningful relationships between these variables and reported learning outcomes.
The markets involved were Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, UK, Spain, Italy, Turkey, Greece, Poland, and the Netherlands.
