Key Findings: AI is Reshaping education, but teachers don’t have the AI knowledge they need

Change is coming, and educators need to be ready. 52% of students do not believe school is preparing them for the future, this is increasing year on year.
Parents, students and teachers are demanding change
Exams? a thing of the past. 62% want new assessment methods, with simulation based assessments most recommended.
Risk versus reward with screentime
Half of students are using their devices for homework, but only half of parents see it as a benefit for learning.
Barriers with AI learning
60% of kids are outpacing adults with their AI knowledge, with little guidance. Parents and teachers think schools are responsible for teaching this.
The future is personalisation

AI has the power to personalise learning, support overwhelmed teachers, and make school more engaging for students, if taught correctly.

Our research shows that many teachers and parents feel left behind. The challenge now isn’t whether to use AI, it’s how to use it responsibly, effectively, and fairly.

53% of children expect robots to be the norm in the classroom by 2050!

From chatbots to homework helpers, students are already embracing AI outside the classroom. The question isn’t if they’ll use it, it’s how to make sure they use it well.
Britain’s digital edge in education

The UK leads Europe in both parental support for online learning and student adoption of AI tools in education, particularly in language learning, revision, and everyday academic tasks.

A note from Felix Ohswald

Education in 2025 is at a critical juncture with AI rewriting the rules. It’s clear that the traditional methods of teaching and assessment are no longer sufficient to prepare students for the challenges and opportunities of tomorrow’s world.
At GoStudent, we believe technology is not a threat but an enabler. AI tools hold immense promise for personalising education, including supporting students with special needs, and empowering teachers to focus on meaningful interactions rather than administrative tasks. Education is not just about adapting to technology; it’s about leveraging it to create a system that nurtures every child’s full potential. Together, with governments, educators, parents, and private sector partners, we can build a future where learning is inclusive, personalised, and equipped to tackle the complexities of our modern world.
